A Perfect Senior Care Alternative for Both Our ‘Young-at-Heart’ Residents and Their Families

PBH Residential Care Homes was awarded the "Best in Senior Living 2021" distinction from the national placement agency A Place for Mom / SeniorAdvisor.com. This prestigious award is granted to only 2% of elder care communities nationwide. In 2015, Atomic Ranch, a nationally published magazine, featured PBH Residential Care Homes with a nine-page spread. Additionally, the City of Grand Prairie has asked to use PBH homes as models of excellence in setting the standards for other potential residential care homes under their purview. Rated as 5-Star communities, PBH Residential Care Homes and its dedicated staff are honored by these recognitions of excellence and commit to continue working hard to give our seniors the very best quality of care and environment.

PBH Residential Care Homes is a family-owned business and company-branch of PBH Construction, LP, licensed by the State of Texas Home and Health Services to build and manage assisted living small type-B aging-in-place residential care homes. PBH Co-Owners David and Terri Green, along with their son and award-winning seasoned architectural designer, Jeffrey Green, are fulfilling a desire to provide a safe, loving, quality care and living alternative for senior citizens who require 24/7/365 care.

The Greens have been renovating homes and commercial properties in the Dallas/Fort Worth and surrounding areas for many years, using the highest quality design tools and construction materials – all at an affordable rate for both their company and their clients.

The Green family personally experienced the difficult challenges their aging family members and friends had with choosing the perfect long-term, assisted living options. While learning of the varying accommodations, amenities, and services that were available, they discovered that many seniors really desired to live in an updated, bright and open space that fosters more of a "real home" environment. And so, PBH Residential Care Homes was born.

Fueled with a love for seniors and experienced in caring for them through volunteerism and ministry, the Greens combined their construction, design and décor expertise to create safe, loving and quality aging-in-place care homes where residents retain their dignity as they live comfortably with 24-hour assistance.

When deciding where to start with their new endeavor, the Greens knew their overall vision of a PBH Residential Care Home best fit within an existing well-established neighborhood centrally located to major area hospitals and medical centers. This meant the Greens sought out a home with good bones and sound structure within a welcoming neighborhood that could be renovated and customized specifically to meet state regulations and the needs of seniors but still look and function as a home rather than a "facility".

The Greens' goal was to give their residents a place they would be proud to call "home". They knew this was achieved not only by updating the structural look and feel of a home but by creating a bright, inviting and family-like environment. That is why they approach each home with the same high-quality standards and visionary design they've used for years. This includes David's vast years of experience in home construction, Jeffrey's pulse on the latest trends in home architecture and Terri's natural eye for interior design. In additional, Jeffrey obtained his credentials as a Certified Aging in Place Specialist through the National Association of Home Builders to better understand and identify senior home essentials.

Combining these talents, credentials and first-hand experience with elder care, the Greens strive to produce a high-quality, well-manicured, maintained, and licensed aging-in-place home for "young-at-heart" residents who can no longer live independently. Some interior and exterior features that differentiate a PBH Residential Care Home from other senior homes include wider doorways / hallways for easier mobility, an open floor plan that fosters a family-type atmosphere, eco-friendly and energy-efficient appliances and floor-to-ceiling windows, anti-glare flooring that's easier on the eyes, painted landmark entries for effortless identification and draped closets for easy access. To create a "homey" and inviting environment, the Greens also give proper attention to lighting, researched color and décor choices that are proven to invoke positive feelings and foster socialization.

PBH opened its flag-ship residential care home known as KEITH HEIGHTS in 2011. Close in proximity, PBH's second northwest Grand Prairie home, COLIP HOUSE accepted its first resident October 2012. BROOK HOLLOW, located in Bedford, opened in 2013. Each home is licensed and staffed with a certified Assisted Living Manager and experienced caregivers who nurture and assist residents 24/7/365.
