TERRI GREEN
Co-Owner, Designer, Administrator, COO PBH Construction, LP PBH Residential Care Homes
Terri Green spent most of her life as a homemaker while serving in various ministries through her home church in Grand Prairie, Texas. She served as teacher, VBS Director, Ladies Ministry Leader, College Student Ministry Co-Director and recently host of Gospel Class for potential new members. She developed and wrote curriculums for Young Adult Leadership retreats and authored VBS themes and lessons. Many ministries involved the elderly which sparked a love for them and ignited a quest to help meet their needs as they continued to age.
Working alongside her husband as Executive VP and Interior Design Consultant for PBH CONTRUCTION and GREENLAND HOMES. Terri successfully completed new home construction and renovation projects for single and multi-family homes, churches, and commercial spaces employing the philosophy of always leaving behind a cost effective legacy of beauty and excellence. She also developed and wrote administrative policy and procedures for two companies. These experiences would prove to be valuable in the next phase of her life.
Terri saw first-hand the tremendous need as her mother-in-law, diagnosed with Alzheimer's, could no longer live autonomously. While looking for opportunities to assist her, doors opened to renovate a private residence with the vision of creating a care home where a small number of seniors can, with love and dignity, age in place. PBH RESIDENTIAL CARE HOMES was born in 2011 and their first move-in was her mother-in-law. For ten years now Terri has served as Co-Owner / Administrator / Chief Operating Officer for PBH RESIDENTIAL CARE HOMES managing three licensed assisted living care homes. Terri not only carried out her many administrative responsibilities but created the warm and caring environment for which her residential care homes are known. Now, her mother, diagnosed with dementia, has joined other seniors living in one of her care homes. This endeavor represents a culmination of things learned as God prepared her to meet the significant challenges of developing a much needed answer for our aging seniors.
Honored through publication in a national magazine, rated 5-Star and recipient of the prestigious "2021 Best in Senior Living Award", their homes reflect a realized dream successfully helping hundreds of seniors in need. Because of Terri's commitment to excellence and quality care for the elderly, PBH receives stellar testimonials expressing love and appreciation for top of the line healthcare.
In 2020, Terri collaborated with three other friends to author the book, "Hell No I Don't Remember, I Have Alzheimer's!" high-lighting her experiences as a residential care home owner. She also shares heart stirring stories not only of her mother's journey with dementia, but others as they navigate the difficult twists and turns of Alzheimer's. One such story received the "2020 Writers Digest" award in the Inspirational Category entitled, "I Don't Want to Save Electricity".
